Alex Davies, Senior Researcher @ Rethink ResearchWith the constant rise of (live) video, increase of traffic and move into emerging markets; will CDNs be able to keep up, or will decentralised CDN have a place in the ecosystem? Alex Davies will highlight some key figures and trends observed as food for thought.

18:50 - 19:05 - The invisible impact of network handovers within content delivery
Stephan Schröder, CEO @ BenocsEver wondered why performance breaks after the handover from CDNs to other networks? Why CDN-traffic is so volatile or which content was driving past and future spikes? We will shed some light and valuable insights on these questions based on real-life examples.
19:05 - 19:10 - The sustainability of CDNs
Adam Curwin, Executive Director @ Greening of Streaming
The last year has seen a step change in how the world is consuming Streamed content – whether entertainment at home or replacing business travel.
Current estimates suggest that streaming is producing as much carbon as air travel and the public will soon become focussed on the impact that streaming is having on the environment.
Greening of Streaming and its Members are proactively challenging themselves to develop and share best practices and communicate what we are doing about it to the world.
This presentation explains what our Members want to achieve, what we are doing and how we are going about it.
19:10 - 19:25 - Adapt and change. Why CDNs should start to learn to play together
Mike Gordon, CEO @ DLVR
Legislation is being established to ensure that content and infrastructure services are continuous. Will this lead to a regulation of the CDN market and in turn force CDNs to work together or should this collaboration be taken in hand by the CDN industry itself? Following high profile outages and issues with peak delivery, CDNs now advocate the use of multiple CDNs for availability, scalability and to ensure continuity of media delivery. An interview with Mike Gordon (CEO DLVR) on why CDNs need to work together to avoid this enforced legislation and how this ultimately leads to a better experience for the end user.
19:25 - 19:30 - Thank you
Mark de Jong, Chairman @ CDN Alliance
Closing remarks and Thank you
