Low Latency Working Group Publishes First Whitepaper

The Low Latency Working Group (LL-WG) of the CDN Alliance has published its first whitepaper, “Low Latency Streaming – A First Step Towards Standardization”. This publication provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities of delivering low latency video at scale and emphasizes the need for clearer definitions and greater standardization across the industry.

The whitepaper aims to initiate an open industry discussion on establishing a shared framework for the delivery of low latency streaming. It outlines current terminology, use cases, and technologies, and highlights why consistent definitions are essential for broader adoption and effective implementation.

With IBC approaching, the LL-WG will host a get-together on Saturday September 13th from 16:30 -17:00 at booth 5.C43 (Ceeblue) to present the findings, answer questions, and connect with stakeholders interested in shaping the next steps in low latency streaming. Come and join us at IBC and download the whitepaper here. For further information, please contact [email protected].
